There will be a special Sport Relief event in Keighley in 2006 as part of the sportKarnival/Keighley Festival fortnight. Location will be Oakbank Sports College, provisional date is Staurday 15th June.

This will link with the Keighley Festival and Gala between 1st July and 16th July. There are a series of meetings to help plan the Festival – dates are 10th March, 31st March, 21st April, 12th May, 26th May, 9th June, 23rd June, 30th June. All meetings will be held at 7pm at Russell Street [...]

There was a further chance to present the sportKeighley initiative to representatives from DCMS and Sport England last week. They are becoming firmly committed to the Single System for Sport of which sportKeighley is an integral and leading part. Further visits to Keighley are planned, especially as some Timothy Taylors Landlord was promised!
