Klubs

Keighley has numerous sports and leisure clubs, all operating on a regular basis in terms of training, participation and competition throughout the year.

In recent years clubs have moved into another gear as the requirements, even in the voluntary sector, for child protection and health and safety have increased exponentially.

Most clubs now have qualified, certified coaches and voluntary staff (Coaching) and many are based at key locations the town (Facilities).

Many clubs are working towards, or indeed have gained, ClubMark status, a type of Charter Mark designed to denote an organisation that is equipped and able to provide an acceptable standard of expertise and care.

Most importantly, Keighley’s clubs are open to everyone, residents and visitors alike, no matter what standard or level of fitness.
